Fentanyl puts Emergency Responders at risk
3/11/2023 (Permalink)
Responders are likely to come into contact with a mixture of illicit drugs during routine job duties. These mixtures of illicit drugs can include cocaine, methamphetamines, cannabinoids, cathinones, and opioids such as fentanyl and heroin for example.
Officers who perform day-to-day law enforcement duties may come into contact with illicit drugs during the course of their daily activities such as traffic stops, apprehending and searching subjects, and responding to overdose calls.
And oftentimes, individuals who are transported by First Responders may leave traces of fentanyl in vehicles, leading to additional exposure.
When that happens, First Responders call the trusted experts at SERVPRO of Lawton.
Our highly trained team of biohazard cleanup technicians thoroughly clean responders vehicles to ensure they are safe for their teams, and the general public.
It's just another service we provide to help our communities, and those who serve.
