Let's face it: the quarantine was hard on all of us. Parents were suddenly working from home, home schooling the children, and simply trying to keep life normal.
What does a normal child do when mom is distracted and they're bored with this new routine?
In this case, the child found matches and lit the laundry by the back door on fire.
Thankfully, mom quickly responded and doused the flames, then called SERVPRO of Lawton to inspect the smoke and soot damage.
Because mom reacted quickly there was nominal damage in the home, and it was a task the family could take care of as part of their new fire safety training.
