Fire and smoke damages nursery

What started as a quiet evening for a young couple and their baby soon turned dark and hectic.

Noise in the street drew their attention outside, where local police officers were staged around their property.

Scared and confused as to what was taking place, the couple retreated to the baby's room to protect their daughter.

Moments later, a tear gas cannister crashed through the window, and in the turmoil that followed a fire broke out.

After evacuating the property and visiting with officials, it was determined that the young couple was not in violation of any laws, and the incident was merely a mistake.

Not a normal course of events in the quiet towns of Southwest Oklahoma.

And certainly not what the homeowner expected to learn about the next day when she visited the property.

Thankfully, she called SERVPRO of Lawton to begin the fire restoration process.
